–When I was shooting this charity event last month I found that among the photographers there I was the only one taking shots before the batter swung at the ball. It made me laugh because my shutter would hit seconds before the other two guys…every single time!
So what do you do with these photos? Make them into baseball cards of course! Wait…how do you do that?
Well here is my formula!
Photoshop:
1. Background = Gradient Roll…Black-White-Black
2. Layer 1 = Picture of lots of stars (googled) @ 60-75% opacity
3. Layer 2 = Event Logo (Baseball Moon)
4. Layer 3 =Rectangle Cut into "card" and filled in any other color that is not white.
5. Layer 4/5 = title of event (tops) and Years (left) in a color that stands out…each have drop shadows attached
6. Layer 6 = 2nd Rectangle crossing the first @ bottom w/ gradient roll (blue-white-blue)
7. Template Finished! (Save as .JPEG)
8. Open template JPEG
9. Magic Erase 1st rectangle color to make it transparent
10. Add photo and scale to size
11.Add Text layer over rectangle 2 and add subject’s name.
12. Add Watermark
13. Behold Baseball card and laugh like an evil Photoshop scientist
**Please feel free to copy the steps but the baseball moon is trademarked by globalsportsfoundation.org and this particular template is now copy written as mine…please to not steal this image!
